ABOUT ACCENT
A history shaped by culture
Accent was founded around a focused belief: brands do better work when culture is part of the thinking from the start. The channels, formats, and pace have changed. That belief has not.
OUR STORY
Accent’s evolution from traditional agency to next-generation content studio
Accent was founded in 1990, in Miami, Florida, as a Hispanic-market advertising agency creating Spanish-language broadcast campaigns for major brands. With in-house post-production, visual storytelling was part of the business from the beginning.
As media and consumer behavior changed, Accent built a new-generation content studio around the demands of social channels, where a strong story can drive more value than a large production budget. Today, we ideate, plan, and produce native content for the speed, formats, and behavior of the social web.
Our work has also expanded to serve a wider range of diverse cultural communities shaping America’s consumer growth.
Accent also recognized early that influence was shifting toward individuals with direct audience relationships. We began investing in the creator economy as a new class of creators was emerging, building diverse networks and helping brands work with voices grounded in culture and community.
